- “It will change the way you think about food, it will change your tastes, it will change your habits and your cravings.”
- “This will change your life.”
- “Let your body heal and recover from whatever effects those foods may be causing. “
- We cannot possibly put enough emphasis on this simple fact – the next 30 days will change your life.”
- “It has the potential to change the way you eat for the rest of your life.”
Those
are some heavy words and hefty claims. How can you say no to something that can do all of that AND, “could, quite
possibly, change the emotional relationship you have with food, and with your
body.”
This is too good to be true. Right? If I do this for 30 days, my
relationship with food could possibly change? If there is even a chance of
success, I’m in.
Hook, line, and sinker.
I’m sold and I’m going to do it.
I’ll be adding a page to this blog where I
post my daily menu. I’m going to do this so I can hold myself accountable. So, if you see me slip up, call me out! Scold me. Yell at me. Publicly humiliate me, I'll probably need it. Another point the Whole30 makes is NO slip ups. “The only way this will work is if you give it the full thirty days, no
cheats, slips or “special occasions.”
Here
is a full list of the approved Whole30 foods (no more of my beloved Ezekiel 4:9).
Today is Day One.
